Another post about food.  We were totally  ignorant about the fact that the Balkans have such delicious food.  We never expected Bosnian or Macedonian food to be so tasty.  Since it was pretty cheap, we were able to eat out a lot, and try different local specialties.  We will be looking for recipes when we are finished with our travels.

Here are our top picks.  (Photos aren’t the highest quality, as I am usually too eager to dig into my food to care about taking great pictures.)

Cevapi- Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

Burek- all over the Balkans, but Sarajevo, Bosnia was the best
