Hi! I’m Casey, an American, who together with my Aussie husband Paul, travels the world. I love experiencing unique cultures, tasting local beer, and exploring new places by running.
One of my goals is to run a marathon on every continent. So far, I’ve accomplished 5 continents. I love running. It’s a huge part of my life, but I’m not the stereotypical runner. I like to drink beer, and hate getting up early to exercise. For me, running is about staying fit and keeping mentally healthy.
It also provides a great way to explore new cities. You get a much better feel for a place by touring it on foot. However, it can be daunting running in a new place. I show you where you can take 3-5 mile runs (sometimes longer) in different countries, what dangers may be present, and how to dress to remain culturally appropriate.
Itchy Feets signifies both my wanderlust and inability to sit still. There is an Aussie band called Horrorshow. Their song “Itchy Feet” speaks strongly to both Paul and I.
“We roam all over the planet looking for answers
Cross over timezones, connect the dots on the atlas
So as this world keeps turning around on its axis
On we march with itchy feet, there’s always somewhere you could be”
– Horrorshow
So join me as I travel the world, running from adventure to adventure.
