Settled life and reflections
Adjusting to life in one spot has been a challenge. We got so used to moving from place to place, that it became normal. Not having a routine became our routine. It’s an odd sensation to return to a town you lived in, after a life changing experience, to find that nothing much has changed. And why would it? Life goes on regardless. Nevertheless, it’s still surprising to revisit the same old haunts.
Signs of the Times
Different countries have different priorities and concerns, which they address through signage. Here’s a collection of some of the most amusing signs we encountered along the way.
Stats and Superlatives
We thought it might be fun to do a high school yearbook style superlatives post. A lot of these numbers and rankings are purely for our own benefit, but they may be entertaining to others. 
Taking the plunge
Off we go. Since we met nine years ago, we have been talking about taking a round the world (RTW) trip. We would say things like “Oh, when we take our RTW trip, we will go to Turkey”. Or, “Yeah, we’ll see that when we do our big trip”. But life (vet school, jobs, buying a house) got in the way. That’s not to say we weren’t able to travel frequently. We were fortunate to have been able to do quite a bit of traveling in that time, but generally for no longer than our 2-3 weeks of vacation time allowed us.
